This mountain is special and you should get there before it gets too commercial!! (1) Nowhere to buy food by the pistes, (3) some places to eat up on the mountain but they are often busy and expensive, (5) there is a variety of excellent mountain eateries right next to the slopes to suit all budgets. Powder Mountain is a well kept secret in Utah and is worth a visit if you want to get away from the BIG resorts like Snowbird and The Canyons :)If you get the chance head up to James' Peak via the snowcat (and a small hike) to make some fresh tracks. The nearest large town is Ogden about 20-25 mins away, but there are plenty of Condos down in Eden about 5 miles away, lift tickets are cheap compared to the big boys of Utah and Colorado, but if you split your time between here and Snowbasin (35-40 mins away) you will get some great skiing. This ski area is huge with unique access such as powder safaris and single run sno-cat rides, lifts are laid out well for easy terrain access.
