Tentam manchar sua reputação, acusando-a de não pagar impostos e o governo pede a casa de Tammy como pagamento das dívidas. It is very much like 60's campy television, which is great for "I dream of Jeannie" or "The Brady Bunch", but doesn't fair well for Tammy. The dialogue, in which Tammy's language is composed of archaic usage and quotes from the King James' Bible is replaced with bilge straight from Hee Haw and the plots, in which Tammy's naive goodness brings out the goodness in others is replaced with Grandpappy discovering his multiply-great grandfather has a deed to half the county and a pair of blonde witches out to nail the 'millionaire' of the title who manage to combine the most annoying parts of Larchmont Lockjaw and bad hillbilly accents. In this drama, sweet and honest Tammy is hired as a secretary by a powerful industrialist with a handsome young son.

Tammy, a spunky young woman, has a series of adventures, including becoming a secretary, losing her house, regaining her house, and falling in love. Filme: Tammy e o Milionário (Tammy and the Millionaire, 1967), de: Leslie Goodwins / Sidney Miller / Ezra Stone, com: Debbie Watson, Tammy Tarleton, Frank McGrath, Uncle Lucius, Denver Pyle, Grandpa Mordecai Tarleton, George Furth, Dw What a treasure!!! This is the last of four pictures about Tammy.

Fortunately, the hapless girl's grandpa and uncle show an old deed that proves that they do indeed own the house.

She comes out of the woods drenched and mud covered, only to encounter her spoiled daughter who starts whining and complaining.

So mama gives her a good hard kick in the rear!

Then starts limping around because she hurt her toe! You can get lost in these movies because they represent what is good in human relationships. Denver Pyle and Frank McGrath gave exceptional performances that were funny yet somehow dignified. All of the cast members did a wonderful job and the movie is definitely one worth seeing if you like gentle humor and an upbeat plot. 1:30:59.

After a charming series of movies starring Debbie Reynolds and Sandra Dee, this fourth entry in the series is an unmitigated disaster. They even try to sic the IRS on her for evasion of back taxes; the government agency retaliates by trying to take away Tammy's house to repay the debt. In Tammy and the Millionaire, Debbie Watson gave a performance that was more true to kind, leaving us feeling that she is definitely a person we would like to know. The original storyline is only loosely used.

Their demeanor and hackneyed language skills in portraying a riverboat dweller at times was irritating, although I loved all of their movies.

This film, as well as the TV series, has very little to do with the original. What a wonderful era to have captured and produced such a realistic presence in these delightful movies. (That is, fall in love for the first time again). I suppose it would be silly to speak of the "Tammy" films as having depth, but the theatrical ones had more characterization than this does. The Bat (1959) [Horror] [Thriller] [Mystery] Debbie Watson who played Tammy in both the TV series, and this movie, just doesn't do the character justice. I could watch this movie and all the "Tammy" movies over and over and over....again and never tire of their delightful freshness and chaste beauty within. Even though this is the last of all the wonderful "Tammy" movies, it certain has not lost its appeal. Was this review helpful?

Debbie Warson did a wonderful job of portraying a sensitive young woman with a lot of common sense. young son. 2 out of 2 found this helpful. Debbie Watson doesn't seem quite right int the role, but she's OK.Even so, I always enjoy this film, and think it would be fun to see all the episodes of the TV series its taken from.

My favorite scene is at the end. I liked her portrayal better than her better known actresses on the first three movies. Tammy disagrees with her family's plan and fears that her backwoods relatives will ruin her life. Except for the change from Debbie to Sandra, the first 3 movies followed continuity & storyline very strictly. 4 This movie is based on the television series that aired 1965-1966.
